These are sites where you can build a profile and meet other people nearby or across the country. They usually have good resources for local parties and Meet & Greets.

LL is a great site, we like to refer to them as the "Mercedes" site of the lifestyle. It is very high end, has lots of bells and whistles and more features than any site we've seen. The type of people you will find on this site are very attractive, successful people with most of their members from west of the Mississippi.
They have an awesome travel section where you can see who is visiting your town and you can advertise when you are heading to another city. They also have a full service travel agency that specializes in group travel for their members.
We produce the annual LL event in Las Vegas called LLIVE and it is definitely one of the hottest crowds you will find, anywhere. Plus the Webmaster's wife (Shelly) is Hot!

I'd say LoveVooDoo is the "Shelby" site of the lifestyle. Powerful, handles well and is a little loud and little wild when the top is off. They just went through a major upgrade and are now using Silverlight and .Net. I have no idea what that means, but I am told that means the site has better picture controls and one of the most stable codes in the industry.
LoveVooDoo has one of the most active client bases when it comes to traveling. They host at least 4 huge parties at Hedo II per year with it's biggest being www.LoveVooDooFest.com each year in November which is always a sold out show. When they come to Naughty in N'awlins their members can always be picked out of the crowd, they are the loud ones whooping it up and doing body shots on the bar. If you're gonna be traveling, it's always better to go with a group and this is one group I highly recommend.
All I know if that the members look like fun, are a little edgy and I love the graphics and "X Games" style. They are really big on the East Coast, especially in the Atlantic States) but are growing in Florida, Louisiana & Colorado). Plus the owners wife (Elana) is hot!

SLS is the SUV of lifestyle sites. 1st off, it is big. REALLY BIG! (sometimes size does matter) For sheer size and amount of members, no one can compete with SLS. Their site is a lot simpler than LL or LoveVoodoo (of course, it's an SUV), but it is also very easy to navigate and search for people in your neighborhood. After all, why are we all on these sites anyway? To find people.
We get more e-mail from this site, than any other site and we have actually met more people from SLS than almost all of the other sites combined.
This site is popular, pretty much everywhere in the states. You will always find someone near you on this site. And you'll never believe this.... The founder's wife (Olga) is hot!

SDC reminds me of a "BMW 500 series". The site isn't the sportiest (BMW 650), not as many bells and whistles as some of the other sites (BMW 750) but it is larger and more refined than most of the smaller sites (BMW 330). There is a lot of content on this site which takes some time to pour through, but more content means more parties and more people to get to know, which is a good thing.
This site is HUGE overseas, having the largest membership outside of the US of any other site. If you are traveling internationally, SDC is a great resource.

I was 1st drawn to Kasidie.com because of their online magazine. It was an awesome resource for the lifestyle, full of great articles, reviews, news and even a Couple of the Month. I thought it was the best single source for information that existed for the lifestyle. Eventually, they transitioned from primarily a magazine to a social site with profiles and the magazine took a back seat.
They have finally shelved the magazine to my great disappointment and turned that portion of the site over to www.LifeontheSwingset.com. I think this site is a very well done blog site with a lot of great information, but by closing the magazine portion that was part of Kasidie.com, the lifestyle loses another valuable asset and will be missed.
But I digress, back to the review: Kasidie has spent a lot of time and money trying to catch up to the more established sites listed above and it shows. The design is very clean and sophisticated and it was built to look more like a vanilla social network than many of the other sites. It has a large following in Denver and Las Vegas, two very active Lifestyle areas. Oh, and the owners wife.... yeah, you know, you know.
